Bakers in Training is an intensive, paid on-the-job program for women facing economic insecurity. By learning the trade of bread baking, women from around the world leverage talent and passion to launch careers in food manufacturing.

The six-month long program provides paid training in artisan bread baking along with key skills like English as a second language, bakery math, and science. Our Bakers in Training work and learn alongside some of the most talented bakers in the city while producing the breads that we sell. We place 100% of our graduates who seek employment in full-time, fair wage positions with access to benefits and opportunities for advancement.
