Mentor a Food Entrepreneur!
Support small food business owned by women of color by becoming a Hot Bread Kitchen mentor! We are seeking passionate volunteers with knowledge and expertise in business, operations, supply chain, packaging, the food industry, and more.
EARLY STAGE CONSULTING
What: Provide entrepreneurs with feedback on their product and business framework
Time commitment: ~2 hours over the course of month
Expertise Needed: General knowledge about business operations. Knowledge about the food industry is preferred, but not required.
TECHNICAL ASSISTANCE
What: Respond to discrete food business questions
Time commitment: As many hours as you can volunteer over the course of one calendar year
Expertise Needed: Technical expertise in key aspects of operating a food business, like food science, consumer packaged goods, supply chain management, and/ or labeling and packaging (this list is not exhaustive!)
CUSTOMIZED COACHING
What: Provide coaching to a food entrepreneur whose business is poised for growth
Time commitment: ~3 to 4 hours per month for at least 3 months
Expertise Needed: Deep knowledge in starting and running a business. Knowledge about the food industry is preferred, but not required.
