From the moment you apply to a Hot Bread Kitchen program, you are a member. The only requirement for membership is a desire to get a job, build a career, or start your own food business. Our community of staff, fellow members, and social service partners will assist you on your journey from from childcare to housing and public benefits to mental health services—all critical ingredients for career success.

Apply
Complete the Hot Bread Kitchen application to identify which programs interest you, or simply request more information. You may apply at any time.
Participate
After interview and acceptance, take part in our programs to hone your skills and build a career or start your own small food business. You will work with knowledgeable instructors, develop critical skills and build your network. Programs run throughout the year in-person in locations across NYC and are offered at no cost to our members.
Progress
Secure a new job or reach a new career height in the food industry or beyond. Work for a good food employer with set schedules and fair pay. Grow your small food business beyond what you thought was possible. Need help again later on? We will be here with the support you need.
Is Hot Bread Kitchen right for you?
We offer a welcoming, inclusive environment. Cisgender and transgender women and gender expansive people age 18 and over, who are actively seeking employment or to start or grow a small food business, are welcome to apply to all Hot Bread Kitchen programs.
