When Junai enrolled in Hot Bread Kitchen’s Front of House training, she was a full-time college student who was recently unemployed and searching for direction. Her dream was to open her own bakery, but she needed a clear path into the food industry.
Through the training, Junai built essential skills in hospitality, conflict resolution, and professional readiness. The interactive sessions prepared her for real workplace scenarios, and resume and interview coaching helped her translate that preparation into her first job offer.
“I knew I wanted something better for myself. Applying to Hot Bread Kitchen was the key.”
Junai, Front of House Program Graduate

Just four days after completing the program, Junai secured her first hospitality role as a scooper at Salt & Straw, the nationally recognized ice cream brand known for its inventive, small-batch flavors. What began as an entry-level role quickly became an opportunity to grow. Within six months, she was promoted to shift coordinator, reflecting both her skill and expanding confidence. In that role, she coached team members and supported daily operations.
Building on that experience, she recently stepped into fine dining as a hostess at Quality Meats, continuing to expand her hospitality expertise.
“It means a lot to me that the instructors saw potential in me, even when I sometimes couldn’t see it for myself. I’m very thankful that I still have that support, and that motivates me to keep going.”
