After graduating from culinary school in 2001, Chef Tiffany spent the next several years cooking around NYC and Long Island in health food stores, restaurants & for private clients, until the pandemic in 2020. During that time, she began creating vegan comfort food for herself, friends and family and soon was getting orders weekly. She began doing vegan pop-up events in 2021 and from there Secret Vegan Kitchen was born!
“The idea behind Secret Vegan Kitchen was to fill a gap in the market for high quality, all natural plant based meats. After going vegan 8 years ago I found it hard to replace my favorite meals with existing products so I began developing recipes myself.”

Tiffany came to Hot Bread Kitchen looking to receive guidance and tools on how to manage and grow her business. She first learned about Hot Bread Kitchen through participating in the Cultivate program in partnership with Santander Bank. Cultivate provides resources, capital, and mentorship to early-stage food entrepreneurs in NYC. After completing Cultivate, Tiffany decided to continue her journey with Hot Bread Kitchen and apply for our Start program.
Through Start, Tiffany has been able to access subsidized kitchen space with our partners at Cypress Hills East New York Community Kitchen. This is one of the many aspects of the program that has helped her business thrive. She shared, “I have received so much support from Hot Bread Kitchen in the form of advice from mentors, help with permits and licensing, financial assistance for kitchen time and meeting with other woman entrepreneurs who are also trying to grow their businesses in NYC. The resources have been so helpful, but the most helpful has been learning to keep track of my businesses financing through monthly meetings.”
